Born and bred in Southern California, Gavin attended college at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL or Catholic University of Louvain) outside of Brussels, Belgium. Graduating in 1974 with a bachelor’s degree and having completed his master’s degree coursework, Gavin studied Philosophy, Psychology & Economics. He was able to speak and study in French, Flemish (a version of Dutch spoken in Belgium) and English. Mr. Gervis absorbed multinational, multi-ethnic, and multi-religious cultures plus the views of non-religious students, professors, and individuals from all over the world. The years abroad, and further travel to other countries since completing his formal education have given Gavin a unique world view and life view.

The time away from family also gave him new appreciation on how to share his experiences abroad with family back in the US. Slowly, these experiences have percolated into finding a methodology to save, share, and pass on aspects of our lives to those who will come after us.
